This piece is a loving conversation between a birth mom and the adoptive parent(s). The higher voice is the younger birth mom and the lower of course is the adoptive parents.
It is a heart rending decision to give up the child that grew in you for 9 or so months and the birth mother is such an integral part of that process. She for the most part would desire to keep her child but out of selfless love desires that child have a better life than she can perhaps provide at that time.
At the same time the adoptive parents are reaching out in love to fulfill the dreams of the birth mother for that child.
It is a beautiful piece of music that converses about the many beautiful stories that have been told and experienced.
